Sylvan Shefler has been involved in investment activities throughout his career. He joined Burnham and Company (Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc.) in 1959, and while at that firm was involved in retail management and institutional businesses, the high yield bond division and several acquisitions. Mr. Shefler founded and managed two high yield funds and three private investment banking boutiques.
Mr. Shefler earned a bachelor’s degree in economic and history from Cornell University and was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He serves on the Boards of Directors of several charitable organizations, including The Simon Wiesenthal Center for Tolerance.
